Donate Books
Our selection of books is dependent on the donations we receive. We gladly accept hardcover and quality paperback books in like-new or good condition, including all types--fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, children's books and more. We also accept current issues of magazines.
PLEASE NOTE: What we do not accept...
· Textbooks, reference books or teaching materials; out-dated guidebooks
· Mildewed, soiled, discolored or torn books
· Outdated issues of magazines
Please recycle items we cannot use.
Donate Funds
The Book Exchange is generously supported by individual donors like you. While we keep our overhead costs as low as possible, we still need to pay for utilities, Wi-Fi, and the growth of our programming options. You many bring monetary donations with you when you visit the Book Exchange or you may mail a check. All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
Please make checks payable to the Town of Banner Elk with a notation on the memo line for the Book Exchange.

Volunteer
The Book Exchange is completely run by volunteers. If you would like to join our ranks, we would love to talk to you about staffing the Exchange for a morning or afternoon shift. Please contact Dusty Ross at dkross77@gmail.com.
